Step 1:

Locate the ethernet cable plugged into the INTERNET port on the back of your router. Show above, the yellow cable is plugged into the Internet port. This may not be the color of your cable.

Step 2:

Unplug the ethernet cable that is plugged into the INTERNET port on the back of the router as shown aboveSt.

Step 3:

Now, pllug the ethernet port cable that you just unplugged from the back of the router into the back of your laptop or desktop computer.

Success! You have now bypassed your router. If the Internet is now working on the computer, there is a problem with your router. You may purchase a new router from your local big box store or online.
